When we partnered with Distrobridge, the vision was ambitious. Create a complete digital music distribution platform that enables independent artists, labels, and music companies to distribute their releases globally through a single dashboard.
From the ground up, we designed and developed the entire platform, transforming a complex music distribution workflow into an intuitive experience while ensuring compliance with global industry standards.
Today, Distrobridge enables artists and labels to distribute music to more than 110 streaming and download platforms worldwide through a single submission workflow.
About the Client
Distrobridge is a digital music distribution platform built for independent artists, record labels, and music businesses. The platform allows users to upload music, manage releases, distribute content to global Digital Service Providers, monitor release status, and manage royalties from one centralized dashboard.
The Challenge
Music distribution involves far more than uploading an audio file.
Every release requires structured metadata, artwork validation, audio quality checks, territory management, contributor information, rights ownership, release scheduling, platform specific delivery requirements, and continuous status tracking.
The platform also needed to support industry standard DDEX workflows so releases could be packaged and delivered in formats accepted by major Digital Service Providers. DDEX defines standardized XML based metadata and delivery packages used throughout the digital music industry.
Our goal was to hide this complexity behind a clean and intuitive interface that artists could use without needing to understand the technical infrastructure running underneath.
What We Built
We designed and developed the complete platform from scratch.
The system allows artists and labels to create releases, upload audio files and artwork, enter detailed metadata, assign contributors, manage ISRC and UPC information, select distribution territories, schedule release dates, and distribute content through a unified workflow.
Behind the interface, we built workflows capable of preparing releases for DDEX compliant delivery while maintaining metadata consistency across every supported platform.
